I need to just carry that Flip camera in my handbag everyday!

This is sponsored content from BlogHer and Flip Video.

Flip video cameras are the BEES KNEES.
I have one that I got last year for a job and it has been a life saver!
It's portable and simple to use. It captures AMAZING quality videos.
I still miss things though...
Life is full of moments that are (alas) right out of reach of a video camera.

Like when we sat together here and all of the sudden Blaise just started singing to me so sweetly like his brother used to do:

blackbird finn from Amy Turn Sharp on Vimeo.

Or last week when Blaise danced like Michael Flatley with leggings on and I nearly died from the laughing. I would loved to have had that for days of gloom and doom.

Or when Finn and Blaise played this adorable game involving baby dolls last week together.

Or when Finn pulls his underwear up his butt and walks around with a wedgie.

Yep, these are the days.

And there is NOTHING like sending a video to a friend via email.

I love to make small odd little slices of my life:

Easter madness from Amy Turn Sharp on Vimeo.

My Claire has her own little language. She says "Here meeam!" for "Here I am," and "Don't formiss the kiss," instead of "Don't forget the kiss." Wallabies are "wobblies" at the zoo, and upside down is "up-is-down." Yesterday is "lasterday." It's so dear, and so fleeting. I really need to try to get it on video - thanks for the reminder!

I have a Flip, but I could sure use $200!! :) Thanks babe! XOXOXOXO

I wish I had a video camera during my second pregnancy and our move from hawaii to colorado (they were at the same time). Heck, I didn't even HAVE a point and shoot camera...just my measly little camera on my computer. It was terrible to not get our memories documented during our last few months in hawaii...or to be able to capture my growing belly. i would LOVE one of these! ;)

I wish I would have had one when my daughter was first born. We had this big clunky one that was just made it unfriendly to use so those early memories never got captured. :(

I could have really used a video camera when I spent the weekend with my cousins sewing my wedding dress. We got a bit loopy trying to get the sleeves to work. And now that they aren’t able to join us for the wedding it would be nice to have that memory saved in video… we didn’t even end up taking pictures

I wish I could video my younger dog, Czara, when she tattles on her big brother for climbing on the furniture. She is so proud of herself, you can see it in her eyes and tail. Unfortunately, it's hard to capture that in a photo.

I wished I'd had a camera when my daughter was still very new. She was laying on the couch when my two year old son, thinking no one was watching, climbed up next to her. He gave her a kiss on the top of the head put his arm around her and cuddled next to her. They both just lay there all warm and cozy, it was adorable.

I wish I'd had a Flip camera during our high school musicals years ago. Believe it or not, there was a time when parents did NOT stand around holding camcorders. Today my kids would get such a kick seeing these real-life "high-school musicals." And I'd love a chance to smile and wince over "the way we were."

With a 2 week old and an 18 month old, I’m sure there are many fun snippets in my future. But I wish that I would have been able to whip out my video camera on Mother’s Day this year when the 18 month old was mimicking her Dad yelling into paper towel tube. He made a few generic grunts and howls and animal noises and then he gave me the best Mother’s day present ever by yelling “I love Mommy” into the tube so that my sweet, precious 18 month old girl yelled “Ah Ahhhhh Momma!!!” It was a loose interpretation, but I know what she meant.

Also, I have a horrible memory. I rely on pictures and videos to hold on to the past.

oh, after seeing that bunny mask on your face i thought of my partner putting something on her face....we bought our dog this HUGE stuffed animal that looked like a rottweiler, which our dog is, for christmas and she loved it. she ripped it all up and soon it was decapitated. my partner pulled the stuffing out and put the head over hger head and barked at the dogs. it was hilarious.

I would love to catch a video of my cat fetching her plastic ball. No one believes that she does it! She bats it down the stairs, goes chasing after it and brings it back up to do it all over again.

I'd love to record every day things my husband and I do for my family. They live on the other side of the country, and it would be nice for them to see me more often, even if not in person.

I walked into my 2 year old and am completely shocked as I look at the wall. Jordan had found a black premanent marker and drawn all over his wall. I ask him what did you do? Did you write on the wall. He responded very quickly "No mama I didn't do it - daddy did it." As he was trying to hide the marker in the back of his diaper. I just wanted to laugh my head off.

I would like to have the camera for my marathons! I think taking video with friends while running would be an amazing thing to look back on

It may sound cliche, but I really wish I had a good video of my wedding. We did our wedding on the cheap (even grew our own flowers!) and did not have the money to have it taped. A relative took video of the whole thing, but its jumpy and fades in and out and is just really horrible. She even missed me coming down the isle. Seeing as how I was SO nervous, I barely remember anything of my wedding and have always regretted not having a professional or at least BETTER recording of my wedding day.

I have nine cats…yep nine, and they all live inside with my wife and I. They keep us in stitches laughing sometimes. It would be awesome to have a video camera to catch them in the act of doing funny things. An example would be when Meeko was trying to get his big head in a tiny bag to get to something in the bottom (food of course) and he got the bag stuck on his head and sat up and the bag came up with him. He just sat there very proper, tail wrapped around his feet in front, with the bag straight up on top his head! Priceless!

Wow! This sounds like an easy way to capture moments of our children's lives (especially our new little one) and email to my husband in Afghanistan!

Love your videos!! So cute. I would love a Flip, I wish I had one the first time I went to NYC...I ended up moving there, but the first time was filled with so much adventure it would have been great to get it all on film! :) Thanks!

I wish I would have had one the last time I visited my grandmother in Costa Rica. She would tell us old family stories and I would have loved to capture that. SHe died shortly thereafter so I never got the chance

I missed capturing my daughter's dance recitals. She's 17 now, and I'd love to see her at 5 in a tutu again.

A funny time that I wish I would have had a Flip camera was when I told my 70 lb. dog Daisy to "load up" in my truck which normally meant her jumping in the back but this time for some reason, she jumped right through the window onto my lap! I guess she thought she was driving that day?? :)

I would have loved to have a video camera for any of the daily hijinxs that my family seems to get up to around here, including spontaneous jam sessions, serenades, and other fall-down-laughing situations.

Our newest puppy had a fixation on rocks and used to bring one inside the house whenever I let her back in from going to the bathroom. I used to stand at the door like a dragnet to corner her and rip it out of her mouth before she came inside. Of course, hubby was not so vigilant and let her in one day and I could tell she had something in her mouth. Hubby went to grab her and ended up chasing her all over the house, cornered her, reached in and pulled out a....poopsicle (frozen dog poop). I wish I had a camera to capture the look on his face when he realized what he had in his bare hand.

I wish I had a camera when my dh and I rescued a fledgling bird that was stuck in the mud near our pond. He looked stunned at first, then perhaps grateful (?) before he came to his senses and flew away.
